Environment Building
The brief was simple, yet the task tedious. We were briefed to design a few cities, street and interior scenes. Our top-line idea was to build a metaverse world filled with chaotic and vibrant elements. On an incredibly tight timeline, it was crunch time for all of us.
Jumpaverse Raya Event
The goal of this TVC was to direct/draw potential visitors to IPC Shopping Centre for their Jumpaverse Raya 2022 event. The concept of the film is to show a family's journey through the metaverse, only to realise that reality is way better. With that in mind, we ensured to create a chaotic, vibrant, and messy world. In-line with all things metaverse and the digital world, we created an extravagant chaotic exterior to the streets, and a subliminal abstract and clean interior. Highlighting the main points of metaverses being ununified, inconsistent and 'messy' as no rules are governed.
Metaverse World Design
Our efforts resulted in a chaotically designed world. We striked the fine balance between chaos and vibrant/fun. Whilst all things look great in the metaverse and there were loads of fun things to behold, reality still has to look and feel better. Which was the ultimate direction and goal of the TVC. At the time this was launched, metaverse was at its peak and our clients at IPC Shopping Centre / agency at TBWA, wanted to communicate that despite technological advancements, reality is still better.
