GSC reached out to us wanting to create a new opener video for their flagship halls, GSC BIG. In collaboration with Hong Leong Bank, they were going to launch multiple new halls in big screen format across their many locations and with a new service/product, it needed a new opener video to highlight the 3 main features: BIG Screen, BIG Sound (supported by Dolby Atmos), BIG Experience.

Our goal was simple, to effectively marry a visual experience and sound design into one unified 3D motion commercial. With the emphasis highlighted on the 3 main features of a GSC BIG hall, both our visuals and sound needed to take advantage of the highly reputable Dolby Atmos sound systems, and we strategized and built the storyboard around that.

With multiple revisions, studio visits, hall testings and exports, we finally got it right. We headed down to Iskandar Studios Malaysia to mix and master our final sound design, as it also had to be certified by a Dolby Atmost engineer. Through the 6-month long production, we are thankful for a great client and team to do this with us. Striking the perfect balance between sound design and an immersive viewing experience in BIG halls.
